A company has launched a new email advertising platform, allowing users to earn up to a quarter of a dollar per email in a month.
Advertising company EmailOptics is offering to pay users $1 to send an email to a single target.
Users can then earn $0.25 of the total in one month, and a $0 on average in each of the next four months.
The platform’s CEO, Matt McIlroy, says the platform will help people “see a greater range of emails” in their inboxes.
“You can earn a dollar by targeting emails to people who have a very specific interest,” he says.
“You can also earn a little bit by reaching people who don’t necessarily follow your interests.”
Advertisers will be able to choose from five email providers, including Mail.com, Gmail, and Yahoo.
The company also says it will allow advertisers to create and manage their own advertising campaigns.
McIlroy says the new platform will be available in the next few weeks.
