Google’s revenue grew to $8 billion from a loss of $2 billion in Q4 2016, according to the company’s quarterly report.
The company reported that it had generated a net profit of $7.4 billion for the quarter, which ended on March 29.
Google said it sold $3 billion worth of ads during the quarter and was on track to break $5 billion in revenue in 2019.
The company’s revenue growth came despite a number of setbacks, including Google’s decision to stop selling search ads to advertisers.
It was unclear if that was a result of the ad boycott, which resulted in Google losing $1.6 billion in search ad revenue in the quarter.
